Last Sunday, I managed to grab a few hours at Gawton Gravity hub with my Kona Operator.  I was pushing back up after my second run and I thought “Why doesn’t every downhill rider have one of these? It’s just awesome, so fast and stable”. I carried on riding for another couple of runs, enjoying the bike more and more, but all the time with that same thought in my head “why doesn’t every downhiller have one of these?” Then a little voice said to me ”you’ve got a bike shop, why don’t give every downhill rider the chance to own a Kona Operator!….. ” I ignored this voice and kept on riding.

“Put the Kona Operator on sale Andy…” I heard it again

“Shhh…The Kona Operator is a bargin at the price of £2450!” I told the little voice.

But I heard it again ” Andy, do the right thing and put the Kona operator on sale…”

I then replied “Go away little voice, I can’t discount the Kona Operator with its Fox Van RC rear shock, SRAM drivetrain, Avid Code R brakes and RockShox Boxxer Race fork. The guys at Kona will have me hung, drawn and quartered!”

But the voice it kept on and on and on, so when I opened the doors to the shop this morning, without even realising it, I crossed out the £2450 price tag and wrote £2100!!!
